How to Make Easter Bird’s Nest Cookies

Ingredients:

• 2 cups choco­late chips (or but­ter­scotch chips) 🍫
• 1 cup peanut but­ter (option­al for extra fla­vor)
• 3 cups rice crispy cere­al
• Mini choco­late eggs or can­dy eggs 🥚
• 1/2 cup shred­ded coconut (option­al for a nest tex­ture)

Instructions:

1. Melt the choco­late
   • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the choco­late chips in 30-sec­ond inter­vals, stir­ring in between.
   • Stir in the peanut but­ter until smooth.
2. Mix the nest base
   • Add rice crispy cere­al and stir until ful­ly coat­ed with choco­late.
3. Shape the nests
   • Scoop spoon­ful of the mix­ture onto a parch­ment-lined tray.
   • Use the back of a spoon to cre­ate a small indent in the cen­ter for the eggs. Add choco­late in the cen­ter. 
4. Add the eggs
   • Place 3 can­dy eggs in each nest before the choco­late hard­ens.
5. Chill & Serve
   • Refrig­er­ate for 20–30 min­utes until firm.
