**Materials Needed:**
– Worsted weight yarn in various colors for the unicorn design
– Bulky yarn for the central part of the hat
– H crochet hook
– Yarn needle or tapestry needle
– Scissors
– A pom pom (optional)

Rows 2-44: *Turn, Ch 1, hdc in each hdc back loop across, -6 hdc

Repeat Rnd 2 for 44 rows. Or Make sure the brim fits your child around their head and follow this pattern as closely as you can.

Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc in each stitch around the edge.

Rnd 2: Ch 2 and dc in the same stitch, work 2dctog in the next 2 dc, *2dctog decrease in the next two stitches, work 2dctog in the next 3 stitches, *Repeat around, sl st on top 2dctog

Rnds 3-4: *Ch 2 and dc in the same stitch,

Rnd 4: work 1 sc in each sc around, sl st.

Rnds 7-8: work 1 sc in each sc around, sl st. Twice

Attach the ears on top of the head of the hat about 2 inches apart.

Horn: G hook, pink yarn

Rnd 1: Ch 2, work 4 sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, sl st. -4 sc

Rnds 2-4: work 1 sc in each sc around, sl st. -4 sc

Rnd 5: *work 1 sc in the next sc, work 2sc in the next sc, *Repeat around, work in continual rounds without the slip stitch. Use a marker.

Rnd 6: work 1 sc in each sc around, sl st.

Attach the horn on the top of the hat about 1 inch down from the center top. Sew with yarn and needle—stuff with stuffing.
