I made this to fit an adult. To provide a child, use a smaller hook and measure how long you need the band by measuring your child’s head from the top of the ear to the other top of the other ear.
Abbreviations:
ch=chain
sl st=slip stitch
sc=single crochet

hdc=half double crochet

Ears, Make 2
With a strand of fun fur and pink yarn held together, chain 2.
Rnd 1: Work 7 sc in the 2nd chain from the hook. sl st.
Rnd 2: Work 2sc in each sc around, sl st. -14sc
Rnd 3: Work 1 sc in the next sc, 2 sc in the next sc, sl st.
Rnd 4: Work 1 sc in the next 2 sc, 2 sc in the next sc, sl st. Drop the pink yarn
Rnd 5: With only the fun fur, sc in each sc around, sl st, fasten off.
Band
With pink yarn, ch 21
Rnd 1: Sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and in each ch across to last ch, 3 sc in the last ch; continue along the other side to the bottom of the foundation ch, Don’t turn, work 19 sc, work 3 sc in the last ch. -44 sts.
Rnd 2: Work *4 slip st, 4 sc, 5 hdc, 4 sc, 4 slip st, 2 sc in the end st. Repeat from * around, -46 sts.
Rnd 3: Work * 21 sc, 2 sc in each of next 2 sts. Repeat from *. -50 sts. Drop the pink yarn.
