The crochet angel ornament begins with a magic ring, forming a small loop of yarn to start working in continuous rounds. You’ll use a magic circle to create the foundation, then move on to single crochet stitches, building the base of the angel’s body. The first single crochet will establish the center, and as you work through the pattern, the ornament begins to take shape. For the angel’s wings, you’ll use a combination of double crochet and slip stitch to create a lacy, elegant design that will give your angel a delicate look. You’ll add these wings to the back of the angel’s body, using a yarn needle to securely attach them.

As you work, be sure to mark the first stitch of each row with a stitch marker to help keep track of your rounds. As you progress, you’ll add the hanging loop to allow the ornament to be displayed on your tree. A tapestry needle will help you weave in any loose ends for a neat, polished finish. The small size of the angel, combined with the lacy, detailed design, makes it a wonderful holiday season project. If you’re a fan of angel decorations, this pattern will surely become one of your favorite crochet patterns.
