Ingredients

  1. Prepare the Oreo Mixture
Start by crushing the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. You can do this by placing them in a Ziploc bag and smashing them with a rolling pin, or using a food processor for quick results. The finer the crumbs, the smoother your truffles will be.
  2. Mix with Cream Cheese
In a large mixing bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs with softened cream cheese. Use a hand mixer or stand mixer to blend them into a smooth dough-like consistency. This will be the base for your Oreo balls.
  3. Shape the Oreo Balls
Using a tablespoon cookie scoop, form the Oreo mixture into small balls. Then, gently roll each one into an egg shape, which will mimic the classic Easter egg look. If you prefer, you can even shape them into little bunny or chick shapes for extra fun!
  4. Chill the Oreo Balls
Place your shaped Oreo balls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet or wax paper. Refrigerate them for at least 30 minutes, or until they are firm enough to dip in melted chocolate.
  5. Dip in Chocolate
Melt your choice of dark chocolate, white chocolate, or a combination of both in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler. Dip each Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, coating it completely. If you prefer, you can add a little coconut oil to the chocolate to give it a smoother finish. Once dipped, place the truffles back onto the parchment paper.
  6. Decorate and Store
Before the chocolate sets, you can decorate the Easter egg Oreo balls with colorful sprinkles or drizzles of contrasting chocolate for a festive look. Let the chocolate harden at room temperature or pop the balls back in the fridge to speed up the process. Store your finished Oreo truffles in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge until you’re ready to serve.

These Easy Easter Egg Oreo Balls are not only a fun and tasty treat but also a great way to bring some festive cheer to your Easter celebration. With their sweet, creamy filling and irresistible chocolate coating, they’re perfect for Easter baskets, holiday gift-giving, or simply as a delightful snack. The best part? They are so easy to make, yet impressively delicious! Try them today, and watch your guests devour them in no time.
