Crochet Baby Mittens

To start this delightful project, you’ll need essential supplies like a long tail, a stitch marker, and a tapestry needle. We’ll guide you through creating the crucial elements of baby mittens, including the mitten cuff, body, and top. Our detailed instructions will ensure you achieve the perfect fit for those tiny hands.

We’ll provide a free crochet pattern for 0–3 month-old baby mittens and a step-by-step guide, including creating a thumb hole and using a magic circle to start. If you’re unsure about the different hand orientations, don’t worry; we have instructions for both the right and left mitten. Throughout the process, we’ll highlight the importance of the first stitch, the back loop, the front loops, and the use of a smaller hook for precision.

My cousin has a baby girl, so I wanted to make mittens for her baby so her baby wouldn’t scratch her face. These were a lifesaver with my babies and are so easy to make. Make them for a boy or girl!
