Row 2: chain 1, *dc in the first stitch, sc in the next stitch,*repeat to fin­ish that row.  turn (6sc)
Row 3: chain 1, 2 sc in first stitch, sc across next 4 stitch­es, 2 sc in last stitch, turn (8 sc)
Row 4: chain 1, *dc in the first stitch, sc in the next stitch,*repeat to fin­ish that row. turn (8sc)
Row 5: chain 1, 2 sc in first stitch, sc across next 6 stitch­es, 2 sc
in last stitch (10 sc)
Row 6: chain 1, *dc in the first stitch, sc in the next stitch,*repeat to fin­ish that row.  turn (10sc)
Row 7: chain 1, sc in each stitch across, turn (10 sc)
Row 8: chain 1, *dc in the first stitch, sc in the next stitch,*repeat to fin­ish that row.  turn (10sc)
Rows 9–22: repeat rows 7 & 8
Row 23: chain 1, decrease sc in first 2 stitch­es (2sctog), sc in the next 6
stitch­es, decrease sc last two stitch­es (2sctog), turn (8 sc)
Row 24: chain 1, *dc in the first stitch, sc in the next stitch,*repeat to fin­ish that row.  turn (8sc)
Row 25: chain 1, decrease sc in first 2 stitch­es, sc in the next 4
stitch­es, decrease sc last two stitch­es, turn (6 sc)
Row 26: chain 1, *dc in the first stitch, sc in the next stitch,*repeat to fin­ish that row.  turn (6sc)
Row 27: chain 1, sc in each stitch across, turn (6sc)
Ear loops: Make 2, chain 15 from row 27, you might have to see if that will fit or adjust it to your ear. sl st. to the end of the row 27.
Fas­ten off, For the oth­er ear loop, Slip stitch with your yarn to row 1. and chain 15 and sl st to row 1. Fas­ten off, weave in the ends.
Mus­tache
Slip stitch your yarn to first stitch on Row 8 with a slip stitch, begin a chain
that will reach over to the oppo­site side,  chain 10, sl st. into the row 19, then turn. chain 1,  dou­ble cro­chet (dc) into first chain, dc into the next 3 chains, Slip stitch in next two
chain stitch­es,  dc in the next 4 chain stitch­es, slip stitch. ( 8dc, 2 slip stitch­es)  Fas­ten off and weave in ends.
