Crochet Breast Cancer Awareness Hat

To get start­ed with this easy cro­chet hat pat­tern, you’ll need the fol­low­ing mate­ri­als:
- Worsted weight yarn in your choice of col­ors, but pink is ide­al for breast can­cer aware­ness.
- A size J (6.0 mm) cro­chet hook.
- A tapes­try nee­dle for weav­ing in ends.
- A stitch mark­er to keep track of your rounds.

rnd 1: Work 11 dc in a Mag­ic Cir­cle, sl st on top of the chain 3. ‑11 dc
rnd 2. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), dc in same st. as join­ing, 2dc in each dc around. Join with sl st on top of chain 3. ‑22 dc
rnd 3. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), *2dc in next dc, dc in the next dc, Repeat from *around, join with sl st. ‑33 dc
rnd 4. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), dc in the next dc, 2dc in the next dc, *dc in the next two dc, 2dc in the next dc, Repeat from *around, join with sl st. ‑44 dc
rnd 5. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), dc in the 2 next two dc, 2dc in the next dc, *dc in the next 3 dc, 2dc in the next dc.  Repeat from * around, join with sl st. ‑55 dc
rnds 6–9. *ch 3 (Counts as first dc), dc in each dc around, join with sl st. *Repeat for 4 rounds
rnd 10. sl st with light pink yarn, ch 3, dc in each st around, join with sl st.
rnd 11. sl st with dark pink yarn, ch 3, dc in each st around, join with sl st.
rnd 12. sl st with light pink yarn, ch 3, dc in each st around, join with sl st.
rnd 11. sl st with white yarn, ch 1, sc around, join with sl st on the chain 1.
rnd 12. ch 3, *back post dc in the sc, front post dc in the next sc, *Repeat around, join in the ch 3.
rnd 13. ch 3, *back post dc in the dc, front post dc in the next dc, *Repeat around, join in ch 3, Fas­ten off. Weave in the ends.
Rib­bon: G hook, chain 29, sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, sc in the next 13, work 2 sc in the 14 chain, sc in each sc across, sl st.
Row 2. sl st with white yarn, sl st in each sc around. Fas­ten off. Sew the Rib­bon on top of the stripes, with the seam ch 3 in the back.

Fin­ish­ing Touch­es**
Fin­ish off your hat by cut­ting the yarn, leav­ing a long tail. Thread it through a yarn nee­dle and weave it through the last stitch­es to close the top of the hat. Fas­ten off and use your yarn nee­dle to weave in any remain­ing yarn tails.
