**Mate­ri­als Need­ed:**
Yarn: You can use var­i­ous types of yarn, such as cot­ton, acrylic, or worsted-weight yarn, in your favorite col­ors.
- Cro­chet Hook: A rec­om­mend­ed hook size for this project is a 4mm cro­chet hook (also known as a G/6 hook in US cro­chet terms).
- Tapes­try Nee­dle: To weave in ends and secure your work.
- Scis­sors: For cut­ting yarn.

**Adding More Petals:**
- To make a mul­ti-petal flower, repeat the sequence of stitch­es for each petal. Typ­i­cal­ly, you’ll cre­ate any­where from 5 to 10 petals, depend­ing on your desired flower size.

This pret­ty lay­ered flower can be done in any col­or or with any yarn. I used Caron soft yarn and an H hook. It mea­sures 4 inch­es by 4 inch­es. This flower looks great on hats or just about any­thing!

Abbre­vi­a­tions:
sc=single cro­chet
dc=double cro­chet
sl st=slip stitch
ch=chain

tr=treble cro­chet

Mate­ri­als: H hook, Caron Soft yarn

Rnd 1: Chain 6, sl st in the begin­ning st. to cre­ate a ring. Chain 6, sc in the ring, Ch 8, sc in the ring, Ch 6, sc in the ring, Ch 8, sc in the ring, *Repeat with total of 5 (Chain 6) and 5 (Chain 8), sl st in the begin­ning stitch. Fas­ten off if you want to use a new col­or. 


Rnd 2: Sl st with new col­or, sl st in between the ch 6 and 8, *sc in the chain 6 loop, work 6 dc, ch 3, 6 dc, sc in the loop, skip the chain 8, *Repeat around, sl st in beg shell. 


Rnd 3: In ch 8, *sc, work 3 dc, 4 tr, ch 3, 4 tr, 3 dc, sc all in the chain 8 loops. then in the next ch 8 loop, *Repeat around for each ch 8 loop, sl st in the beg stitch.
