rnd 2. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), dc in same st. as join­ing, 2dc in each dc around. join with sl st on top of chain 3. ‑22 dc
rnd 3. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), *2dc in next dc, dc in the next dc, Repeat from *around, join with sl st. ‑33 dc
rnd 4. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), dc in the next dc, 2dc in the next dc, *dc in the next two dc, 2dc in the next dc, Repeat from *around, join with sl st. ‑44 dc
rnd 5. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), dc in the 2 next two dc, 2dc in the next dc, *dc in the next 3 dc, 2dc in the next dc. Repeat from * around, join with sl st. ‑55 dc
rnds 6‑desired length (lengths are list­ed above), Ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), dc in each dc around, sl st to join. ‑55 dc, Repeat this until your hat reach­es 7 inch­es or for your desired hat size and length. Fas­ten off and Weave in the ends.
Trim: Change col­ors; add black yarn with J hook, hdc around the trim (bot­tom of the hat) and sl st.
(if you dont add ear flaps)
Ear flaps: If you would like to add ear flaps
Make 2
G hook
1st ear flap, you can slip stitch onto the side of the hat with your  white yarn, begin the dc stitch­es, (like to have the seam in the back of the hat, so I do the ear flap on the side of the hat)
2nd flap, fold hat in half and sl st in dc direct­ly across from the last dc from the oth­er ear flap. fol­low direc­tions below for both ear flaps.

Row 1. ch 2, dc in the next 11 dc stitch­es, turn. ‑11 sts

Row 2. ch 2, dc2tog. dc in the next 6 stitch­es. dc2tog. dc in the last st. turn. ‑9
Row 3. ch 2, dc2tog, dc in the next 4 stitch­es. dc2tog. dc in the last st., turn. ‑7
Row 4. ch 2, dc2tog, dc in the next 2 stitch­es. dc2tog. dc in the last st. turn. ‑5
Row 5. ch 2, dc2tog twice, dc in last st. cut yarn and pull through ‑3
To braid the bot­tom of the ear flap from the cen­ter, use white and black yarn. Make a sl st in the cen­ter of the bot­tom of the ear flap and chain 30. Then, sl st it off and cut the yarn.
Sc around the edge of the hat with black yarn.
Eyes:

Sew in two slits above the muz­zle with a yarn nee­dle, about 2 inch­es apart.

ch 12, hdc in the 2nd chain from the hook and in each stitch across. turn (11 sts.)
rnd 1. ch 1, *hdc in each stitch across, ch 1, turn. *repeat. (12 times)

last 5 rounds, *2hdctog decrease, hdc in each stitch across, 2hdctog decrease in the last two hdc. *repeat, (repeat these rounds, 5 times to round off the ears)

Attach the ears on top of the hat on both sides, about 2 inch­es apart.
Muzzle/Nose:
H hook, white for the body
rnd 1. ch 3, 11 dc in ring, join with sl st on top of ch 3. ‑12 sts.
rnd 2. ch 2, dc in same st as join­ing, 2dc in each st. around. join with sl st. ‑24 sts.
rnd 3. ch 2, *dc in next st, 2dc in next st., repeat from *around, join with sl st. ‑36 sts.
rnd 4. ch 2, *dc in each stitch around, *repeat for the round. join with sl st. (4 times total)

Place the muz­zle on the bot­tom cen­ter part of the hat and fill it with stuff­ing as you go. Sew in a nose with a yarn nee­dle and black yarn over and over until you fill the cir­cle cen­ter part of the muz­zle.

You can add a smile, too, by sewing in a straight line across the bot­tom of the muz­zle with black yarn. Then, go back and secure the cen­ter by sewing a small stitch.
