rnd 1: Work 11 dc in a Mag­ic Cir­cle, sl st on top of the chain 3. ‑11 dc
Video on a Dou­ble Cro­chet Mag­ic Cir­cle:

rnd 2. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), dc in same st. as join­ing, 2dc in each dc around. join with sl st on top of chain 3. ‑22 dc
rnd 3. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), *2dc in next dc, dc in the next dc, Repeat from *around, join with sl st. ‑33 dc
rnd 4. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), dc in the next dc, 2dc in the next dc, *dc in the next two dc, 2dc in the next dc, Repeat from *around, join with sl st. ‑44 dc
rnd 5. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), dc in the 2 next two dc, 2dc in the next dc, *dc in the next 3 dc, 2dc in the next dc. Repeat from * around, join with sl st. ‑55 dc
rnds 6‑desired length (lengths are list­ed above), Ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), dc in each dc around, sl st to join. ‑55 dc, Repeat this until your hat reach­es 7 inch­es or for your desired size and length. Fas­ten off and Weave in the ends. 
Ear flaps: If you would like to add ear flaps

Make 2

H hook, White and Fushia yarn
1st ear flap, you can slip stitch onto the side of the hat with your White yarn begin the dc stitch­es. (like to have the seam in the back of the hat, so I do the ear flap on the side of the hat)

2nd flap, fold hat in half and sl st in dc direct­ly across from the last dc from the oth­er ear flap. Fol­low the direc­tions below for both ear flaps.

Row 1. ch 2, dc in the next 11 dc stitch­es, turn. ‑11 sts
Row 2. ch 2, dc2tog. dc in the next 6 stitch­es. dc2tog. dc in the last st. turn. ‑9
Row 3. ch 2, dc2tog, dc in the next 4 stitch­es. dc2tog. dc in the last st., turn. ‑7
Row 4. ch 2, dc2tog, dc in the next 2 stitch­es. dc2tog. dc in the last st. turn. ‑5
Row 5. ch 2, dc2tog twice, dc in last st. cut yarn and pull through ‑3

Around the edge of the hat, I sin­gle cro­chet around the hat with Fushia yarn. The braid from the cen­ter of the ear flap at the bot­tom, H hook, Fushia, and White yarn, with a sl st in the cen­ter of the bot­tom of the ear flap and chain 30, and sl st it off and cut yarn.

Rnd 2:  *work 1 sc in the next sc, work 2sc in the next sc, *Repeat around, sl st.
Rnd 3: *work 1 sc in the next 2 sc, work 2sc in the next sc, *Repeat around, sl st.
Rnd 4: work 1 sc in each sc around, sl st.
Rnd 5: *work 1 sc in the next 3 sc, work 2sc in the next sc, *Repeat around, sl st.
Rnd 6: *work 1 sc in the sc, work 2sc in the next sc, *Repeat, sl st.
Rnds 7–8: work 1 sc in each sc around, sl st. Twice
Rnd 9: *work 1 sc in the next sc, work 2sctog decrease in the next sc, *Repeat around, sl st.
Rnds 10–11: work 1 sc in each sc around, sl st. Twice Fas­ten off.
Attach the ears on top of the head of the hat about 2 inch­es apart.
Horn: H hook, Fushia yarn,
Rnd 1: Ch 2, work 4 sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, sl st. ‑4 sc
Rnd 2: work 1 sc in each sc around, sl st. ‑4 sc
Rnd 3: *work 1 sc in the next sc, work 2sc in the next sc, *Repeat around, work in con­tin­u­al rounds with­out the slip stitch. Use a mark­er.
Rnd 4: work 1 sc in each sc around, sl st.
Rnd 5: *work 1 sc in the next two sc, work 2sc in the next sc, *Repeat around.
Rnd 6: work 1 sc in each sc around, sl st.
Rnd 7: *work 1 sc in the next three sc, work 2sc in the next sc, *Repeat around.
Rnd 8: work 1 sc in each sc around, sl st.
Rnd 9: *work 1 sc in the next four sc, work 2sc in the next sc, *Repeat around.
Rnd 10: work 1 sc in each sc around, sl st.
Rnd 11: *work 1 sc in the next five sc, work 2sc in the next sc, *Repeat around.
Rnds 12–16:  work 1 sc in each sc around, sl st. Repeat for a total of 5 times. Fas­ten off.

Attach the Horn about 2 inch­es in front of the Ears, in the cen­ter.

Main: Fushia Yarn, H hook,
Take about 10 inch­es of fushia yarn at a time, and Slip Stitch around the horn in each pre­vi­ous dou­ble cro­chet around. Do this around the Horn for two Rounds in each last dou­ble cro­chet. Then, in the back of the hat for the Main, Slip Stitch a 10-inch piece of yarn in the cen­ter of the hat about 10 dc across, but make it go down the mid­dle of the hat in the back. Then, do anoth­er Slip Stitch of 10-inch yarn below that row for 10 dc across. Repeat this until two rows are left at the bot­tom; leave them untouched. Fas­ten off.

Fas­ten Off and Add the Uni­corn Horn**.
