Instruc­tions:

H hook

rnd 1: Work 11 dc in a Mag­ic Cir­cle, sl st on top of the chain 3. ‑11 dc
rnd 2. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), dc in same st. as join­ing, 2dc in each dc around. join with sl st on top of chain 3. ‑22 dc
rnd 3. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), *2dc in next dc, dc in the next dc, Repeat from *around, join with sl st. ‑33 dc
rnd 4. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), dc in the next dc, 2dc in the next dc, *dc in the next two dc, 2dc in the next dc, Repeat from *around, join with sl st. ‑44 dc
rnd 5. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), dc in the 2 next two dc, 2dc in the next dc, *dc in the next 3 dc, 2dc in the next dc. Repeat from * around, join with sl st. ‑55 dc
rnds 6–8: ch 3, Dc in each dc around, sl st, Repeat for 3 rounds. 
Rnds 9–15: Switch to Pink yarn with a sl st, ch 3, Dc in each dc around, sl st, Repeat to round 15.
EarFlaps
Make 2
H hook, Pink yarn
1st ear flap, you can slip stitch onto the side of the hat with your pink yarn and begin the dc stitch­es, (like to have the seam in the back of the hat, so I do the ear flap on the side of the hat)
2nd flap, fold hat in half and sl st in dc direct­ly across from the last dc from the oth­er ear flap. fol­low the direc­tions below for both ear flaps.
Row 1. ch 2, dc in the next 11 dc stitch­es, turn. ‑11 sts
Row 2. ch 2, dc2tog. dc in the next 6 stitch­es. dc2tog. dc in the last st. turn. ‑9
Row 3. ch 2, dc2tog, dc in the next 4 stitch­es. dc2tog. dc in the last st., turn. ‑7
Row 4. ch 2, dc2tog, dc in the next 2 stitch­es. dc2tog. dc in the last st. turn. ‑5
Row 5. ch 2, dc2tog twice, dc in last st. cut yarn and pull through ‑3

The braid from the cen­ter of the ear flap at the bot­tom uses white and pink yarn. I used about 1 1/2 feet of both col­ors togeth­er to and used a K hook to chain about 30 chains.

Eyes:

Make 2, pink and white yarn
H hook
ch 2, start with pink yarn,
rnd 1: work 5 sin­gle cro­chet in the 2nd chain from the hook, sl st. (5sc)
rnd 2: work 2sc in each stitch around, (10sc) sl st.
 Change to white, sl st the white yarn to start rnd 3,
rnd 3: *work 1 sc in the next stitch, 2sc in next stitch, *repeat from* around, sl st ‑15sc
 rnd 4: *work 1 sc in the next 2 stitch­es, 2sc in the next stitch, *repeat from *around, work in con­tin­u­al rounds. ‑20sc
rnd 5: *work 1 sc in the next 3 stitch­es, 2sc in the next stitch, *repeat from *around ‑25sc
rnd 6: *work 1 sc in the next 4 stitch­es, 2sc in the next stitch, *repeat from *around ‑30sc
rnd 7: *work 1 sc in the next 5 stitch­es, 2sc in the next stitch, *repeat from *around ‑35sc
place the eyes in the cen­ter of the hat, side by side.

Sew a but­ton in the cen­ter of both eyes.

Nose:
yel­low or orange yarn
h hook
Ch 5
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across (4 sc)
Row 2: sc in each sc across, (4 sc)
Row 3: work 2 Sc2tog, (2 sc)
Row 4: Sc2tog, (1 sc)
place the nose right below the eyes in the cen­ter.
Tas­sels (Ears)
Pink and white yarn,
Cut 2 strands of each col­or about 8 inch­es in length. Using a cro­chet hook, pull through on the side of the hat, right above the cen­ter of the eyes on the top. Tie into a knot. Trim the ends.
