To start, initiate the magic ring, also known as the magic circle or loop, using a worsted weight yarn and an appropriately sized crochet hook—perhaps a 5mm hook for the perfect balance. Create the foundation with double crochet stitches, carefully following the step-by-step tutorial. The versatile magic ring allows you to work seamlessly in continuous rounds, ensuring a smooth and polished finish. Mark your stitches with a marker to keep track as you navigate the heart’s curves and turns.

As you progress, you’ll encounter the body of the heart, forming the top, bottom, and outer edges with various stitches, including treble crochet, slip stitch, and chain stitch. Adjust your hook size for a smaller heart, or explore different yarn weights for multiple sizes. This pattern’s versatility is perfect for creating mini hearts, adorning a hair clip, or joining together to form a heart garland.
