This holiday crochet star was made with medium worsted yarn and a G hook. It measures around 3 inches. You can make it bigger by going up a hook size or two.

Abbreviations:
sc=single crochet
ch=chain
sl st=slip stitch
dc=double crochet
Rnd 1: Red yarn, ch 5, sl st in the beginning chain to create a ring. Ch 3, work 2 dc in the ring, *ch 2, work 3 dc in the ring, *Repeat around for a total of 5 (3dc’s) with ch 2 in between, end with a ch 2, add your new color of yarn if you prefer to have more than one color of yarn.
Rnd 2: Green yarn, Ch 4, in the ch 2 space, *work 3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc, ch 1, *Repeat around, sl st in the in ch 3, add your new color of yarn if you prefer.
