This hol­i­day cro­chet star was made with medi­um worsted yarn and a G hook.  It mea­sures around 3 inch­es. You can make it big­ger by going up a hook size or two.

Sup­plies: Green and red yarn
G hook

Abbre­vi­a­tions: 
sc=single cro­chet
ch=chain
sl st=slip stitch
dc=double cro­chet

Rnd 1: Red yarn, ch 5, sl st in the begin­ning chain to cre­ate a ring. Ch 3, work 2 dc in the ring, *ch 2, work 3 dc in the ring, *Repeat around for a total of 5 (3dc’s) with ch 2 in between, end with a ch 2, add your new col­or of yarn if you pre­fer to have more than one col­or of yarn. 

Rnd 2: Green yarn, Ch 4, in the ch 2 space, *work 3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc, ch 1, *Repeat around, sl st in the in ch 3, add your new col­or of yarn if you pre­fer.
