Single Crochet loop stitch. For 1.5 to 2 inches left on the length of the hat, work a loop stitch around. (Watch the video to know how to do the loop stitch around the hat edge if you need help)
Hair Braids (Make two): Cut 25 pieces of 20-inch-long strands of yarn. Then, fold in half and tie with a piece of yarn in the center. You can braid it or tie it in two places about 1 inch apart. I braided it, as seen in the picture above. Fold the hat in half and sew on the braids on each side about 2 inches from the center of the hat.
