To begin your mini bear, you’ll need a few essen­tials, such as a G cro­chet hook, acrylic yarn in your cho­sen pri­ma­ry col­or, a small amount of stuff­ing, and safe­ty eyes. We’ll start with the mag­ic ring tech­nique, which is cru­cial for cre­at­ing the seam­less top of the head. Abbre­vi­a­tions:

sc=single cro­chet

sl st=slip stitch ch=chain dc=double cro­chet

DC5TOG= “Bob­ble Stitch” = yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over, draw loop back through the stitch, yarn over, pull through 2 loops, then STOP. You will have a half-com­plet­ed dc hang­ing from your hook. Repeat the steps 4 more times until you have 5 half-com­plet­ed dc stitch­es hang­ing from your hook and 6 loops ON your hook. Yarn over and pull through all loops on the hook.

4mm G hook, Mea­sures about 3 inch­es or so. 

Round 1 : 6 sc in mr (6) 

Round 2 : 2sc in each stitch around (12) 

Round 3 : sc in the next 3 stitch­es, bob­ble stitch, 2sc increase in the next 3 stitch­es, bob­ble stitch, sc in the next 4 stitch­es (15) 

Flip it inside out

Round 4 : sc in each stitch around (15) 

Round 5 : sc in the next 7 stitch­es, bob­ble stitch, sc in the next 7 stitch­es, (15) 

Round 6 : sc, 2sctog decrease (x5) (10) 

Round 7 : sc, 2sc increase (x5) (15) 

Round 8 : sc in the next 5 stitch­es, bob­ble stitch, sc in the next 3 stitch­es,  bob­ble, sc in the next 5 sttich­es (15) 

Round 9- 10 : sc in each stitch around (15)

Round 11 : sc in the next 6 stitch­es, bob­ble, sc in the next 3 stitch­es, bob­ble, sc in the next 4 stitch­es (15) 

Round 12 : sc, 2sctog decrease  x5 (10)

Stuff the Bear, Fas­ten off, Sew the open­ing closed, weave in your ends.

You can add on eyes and sew on a nose. 

.8 mm goo­gly eyes glued on. Take black yarn and sew a tri­an­gle on the nose bob­ble and dash lines for the smile.
