To crochet a simple headband, you’ll need the following materials:
- Worsted weight yarn in your preferred color (you can also use bulky weight yarn for a warmer headband)
- A crochet hook suitable for your chosen yarn (usually a 5 mm hook for worsted weight)
- An elastic band (optional for a snug fit)
- A tapestry needle for weaving in loose ends
- A wooden button or other embellishments (if desired)
I made this for an adult; however, it can be altered to a smaller size by using fewer rows and chains. Once you have the desired rows for a smaller head, place them around your head to see if they fit. I used a h hook for the crochet bear ear warmer and medium worsted yarn. This free, easy crochet headband pattern turned out so cute!
