2 buttons, Red Heart Green, Pink, and White yarn, or whatever colors or yarn type you prefer.

H hook, Pink yarn
1st ear flap, you can slip stitch onto the side of the hat with your pink yarn and begin the dc stitches, (like to have the seam in the back of the hat, so I do the ear flap on the side of the hat)
The braid from the center of the ear flap at the bottom uses white and pink yarn. I used about 1 1/2 feet of both colors together to and used a K hook to chain about 30 chains.
Eyes:
Sew a button in the center of both eyes.
Ch 5
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across (4 sc)
Row 2: sc in each sc across, (4 sc)
Row 3: work 2 Sc2tog, (2 sc)
Row 4: Sc2tog, (1 sc)
place the nose right below the eyes in the center.
Pink and white yarn,
Cut 2 strands of each color about 8 inches in length. Using a crochet hook, pull through on the side of the hat, right above the center of the eyes on the top. Tie into a knot. Trim the ends.
