As you progress, you’ll be using sl st to join and yarn over to cre­ate your next stitch. The first clus­ter stitch will require you to insert your cro­chet hook into the des­ig­nat­ed chain space and pull up loops to cre­ate that sig­na­ture clus­ter look. Row 3: ch 1, sc in the first stitch, sc in the next space, *ch 1, sc in the next chain space between the clus­ters, *Repeat across, at the end, sc in the last two stitch­es

Row 4: ch 4, Now cre­ate the clus­ter stitch in the chain 1 space, (yarn over and insert your hook, grab the yarn, yarn over, pull through two loops, leave two loops on the hook, *Repeat 3 more times, then yarn over and pull through all 5 loops on the hook.) ch 1, *Repeat a clus­ter stitch in each chain 1 space, end with a dc in the last stitch. Alter­nate between Row 3 and Row 4. You can end with Row 3. Fas­ten off and Weave in your ends. 

When you reach the end of the row, make sure to add a turn­ing chain before mov­ing on to the next row. This will help main­tain the height of a dc.
