Crochet a Mini Christmas Stocking 

Sup­plies: 

F hook, or larg­er hook for a more exten­sive stock­ing.
Red Heart Red and Green yarn
Yarn nee­dle

It mea­sures 4.5 inch­es long by 2 inch­es wide.

Abbre­vi­a­tions:
ch=chain
sl st=slip stitch
sc=single cro­chet
dc=double cro­chet
ch=chain

2sctog=2 sin­gle cro­chet togeth­er decrease

Start with Green yarn

Rnd 1: Ch 2, work 6 sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, sl st
Rnd 2: work 2sc in each sc around. Work in con­tin­u­al rounds and use a mark­er.
Rnd 3: sc in the next sc, 2sc in the next sc, *Repeat around
Rnds 4–8:  *sc in each sc around, *Repeat this for 5 rounds.
Rnd 9: *sc in the next 4 sc, 2sc in the next sc, *Repeat around
Rnd 10: sc in each sc around
Row 11:  (this the red heel of the stock­ing) Attach Red yarn with a sl st into the pre­vi­ous round. sc in the next 10 sc, turn
Row 12: sc in  the next 10 sc, turn
Row 13: 2sctog decrease, sc in the next 6 sc, 2sctog decrease, turn
Row 14: sc in the next 8 sc, turn
Row 15: 2sctog decrease, sc in the next 4 sc, 2sctog decrease,  sl st along the top of row 15 to close it. Fas­ten off.
Rnd 16: sl st with Green yarn to Green yarn of Rnd 10, sc
 around rnd 10 and sc around the red yarn por­tion of row 15.
Rnds 17–26: With Green yarn, sc in each sc around, *Repeat for 9 rounds.
Rnd 27: Attach Red yarn with a sl st, sc in each sc around Twice. Before you fas­ten off, chain 8, sl st in the begin­ning chain to cre­ate a loop to hang the stock­ing.

Add a lit­tle Christ­mas tree or oth­er dec­o­ra­tive ele­ments to your mini stock­ing for a per­son­al­ized touch. You can choose dif­fer­ent col­ors and faux fur yarn for the cuffs to match your hol­i­day decor.
