Two ways to make this below with two dif­fer­ent-sized hooks

I made these slip­pers for myself. I wear about 8 1/2‑size shoes. If your shoe size is dif­fer­ent, you will need to use mea­sur­ing tape to help you with this pat­tern and the wom­en’s foot avail­able.

Abbre­vi­a­tions:
ch=chain
sl st=slip stitch
sc=single cro­chet
hdc=half dou­ble cro­chet
ch=chain
 
Start: Make 2, K hook
Toe: Chain 2, work 5 hdc in the 2nd chain from hook, sl st
Rnd 2: *Work 2 hdc in each hdc around*Repeat around, sl st ‑10 hdc
Rnd 3: *hdc in the next, 2 hdc in the next hdc, *Repeat around, use a mark­er now, and dont use a sl st, ‑15 hdc
Rnd 4: *hdc in the next two hdc, 2 hdc in the next hdc, *Repeat around, sl st ‑20 hdc
Rnd 5: *hdc in the next three hdc, 2 hdc in the next hdc, *Repeat around, sl st ‑25 hdc
Rnds 6‑cont.: Hdc in each hdc around, (work in con­tin­u­al rounds with­out a slip stitch, use a marker)*Repeat this round until the toe Reach­es 5.5 inch­es long; now if your Foot is small­er then a size 8.5, then you will cro­chet up to the about a 1/2  inch away from your ankle and stop until the next rows below.
 
Next Rows: This is the open­ing of the Slip­per where the foot goes in: Now Chain 1, and Turn, *hdc in each hdc around until you reach the mark­er from the last round; chain 1 and Turn, *Repeat this until your slip­per reach­es 10.5 inch­es long or about 4.5 inch­es from the end of the last round of the toe to end of the heel, or if your foot is a dif­fer­ent shoe size, cro­chet until you can close the last rows togeth­er and it fits com­fort­ably with­out the slip­per com­ing to lose when you walk.
Once your slip­per reach­es the length to fit women, then take the ends of the last round, and slip stitch across to close it for the heel. Then at the end, I turn it inside out, so the heel won’t show. Now, fas­ten off and weave in the ends.

Now For the Croc­o­dile Stitch Part:
With your yarn, attach the yarn to the mid­dle of the top part of the heel.
Sin­gle cro­chet around the open­ing of the bootie once. sl st. ‑27 sc, Make sure you end with 27 sc.
v‑stitch= (hdc, ch 1, hdc)
Rnd 1: Ch 3, hdc in same stitch,* skip sc, v‑st in next ch, rep from * around, join with sl st on top of first hdc. – 14 v‑stitches
Rnd 2: Ch 2 (counts as a hdc), work­ing from top to bot­tom around post of first hdc of first V‑st, work 3 fphdc, turn work so v‑st is side­ways, ch 1, work­ing from bot­tom to top around post of sec­ond hdc of v‑st, work 4 fphdc , * skip next v st, work­ing from top to bot­tom work 4 fphdc around post of first hdc of next v st, ch 1, turn work so v‑st is side­ways, work­ing from bot­tom to top around post of sec­ond hdc of v st, work 4 fphdc, rep from * around; join with sl st in top of first hdc.- 7 croc­o­dile stitch­es in total.
Rnd 3: Ch 3, hdc in same st, v‑stitch in the cen­ter of the croc­o­dile stitch,  *v‑st in next ch 1 sp,  v‑stitch in the cen­ter of the next croc­o­dile stitch, repeat from * to * around;  join with sl st in top of first hdc
Rnd 4: Repeat rnd 2 into alter­nate v‑st
Rnd 5: Repeat rnd 3
Rnd 6: Repeat rnd 2 into alter­nate v‑st. Fas­ten off and Weave in the ends.
