ch 8, join with a sl st to form a ring.

Rnd 1: ch 9, tr in ring, (ch 5, tr in ring) 4 times, ch 5, sl st in 4th ch of beg ch‑9.

Rnd 2: *In ch‑5 sp work (sc, hdc, dc, tr, ch 3, tr, dc, hdc, sc), sl st in next tr, rep from * around, end sl st in join sl st of Rnd 1.

Rnd 3: *Ch 6, 3 tr in ch 3 sp, ch 2, tr in same sp, ch 4, dc in top of last tr**, ch 3, sl st in top of dc, ch 4, sl st at base of dc, ch 2, 3 tr in same ch‑3 sp, ch 6, sl st in next sl st *, rep from * to * 4 times, rep from * to ** once, total of 6 snowflake arms.

With this size nee­dle, they are about a few inch­es wide. You can soak them in fab­ric stiff­en­er if you want them to be stiff and add a chain loop to the end of the snowflake to hang it on the tree.

2nd Snowflake

ch 8,  join with sl st to form a ring.

Rnd 1: (sc in ring, ch 5, dtr in ring, ch 5) 6 times, sl st in first sc, Fas­ten off.

Rnd 2: *Sl st in top of any dtr, ch 5, dc in same dtr, turn, sl st in sp just formed, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, ch 3, 3 dc in same sp, turn, sl st in 3 dc, sl st in ch‑3 sp, ch 4, sl st in same sp*, ch 6, sl st in same sp, ch 4, sl st in same sp, Fas­ten off. Join with sl st at top of next dtr and repeat for 5 addi­tion­al arms. Total of 6 snowflake arms.
