Rnd 2: ch 2, turn your work, (if you want to color change, slip knot into the chain space), in the space, work 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc, in the next ch 2 space, *work 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in each space, *Repeat around, it won’t lay flat and thats a good thing. sl st into the beginning stitch.
Rnd 3: ch 2, turn your work, 2 dc in the gap space, *3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in the next chain 2 space, 3 dc in the next gap space, *Repeat around, sl st into the beginning stitch.
Rnds 4-22: it will get bigger, make sure to do a ch 2, turn your work, in the space, work 2 dc, Repeat round 3, but it will get bigger, so each gap space will have (*3 dc in the gaps, and in the ch 2 space, work 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc,) *Repeat around, until desired size. I did this for 22 rounds, but you can add more rounds to make it bigger. Â
Best shown in the video, take both side panels you created. Make an upside-down L shape with both panels, so the arms are on top. Go to the back loop, then the front loop to the other side, and sl st across from bottom to top to connect the two L-shaped panels together. Now take the tops of both arms and sl st across. But make sure to keep the front open, this will be the opening of the cardigan. Fasten off and Weave in your ends.Â
Border: sl st into the top and ch 2, hdc in each stitch and chain space around to create a border. Do this for each sleeves too. Fasten off and Weave in your ends.
