rnd 3. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), *2dc in next dc, dc in the next dc, Repeat from *around, join with sl st. ‑33 dc
rnd 4. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), dc in the next dc, 2dc in the next dc, *dc in the next two dc, 2dc in the next dc, Repeat from *around, join with sl st. ‑44 dc
rnd 5. ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), dc in the 2 next two dc, 2dc in the next dc, *dc in the next 3 dc, 2dc in the next dc. Repeat from * around, join with sl st. ‑55 dc
rnds 6‑desired length (lengths are list­ed above), Ch 3, (Counts as first Dc), dc in each dc around, sl st to join. ‑55 dc, Repeat this until your hat reach­es 7 inch­es.
When the hat reach­es, 7 inch­es I changed the col­or to brown yarn using an J hook, with sl st. for one round, ch 3, dc in each stitch around for that round.
The next round, changed the col­or to green yarn, with sl st. ch 3, dc in each stitch around for that round.
The next round, changed the col­or to cream yarn, with sl st. ch 3, dc in each stitch around for that around.

The last rounds I used blue yarn again, ch 3, dc in each stitch around for those rounds until I reached 10.5–11 inch­es long or your desired length, fas­ten off, and weave in the ends.
