To begin, gath­er the mate­ri­als you’ll need: worsted weight yarn in a dark brown col­or for the deer’s body, red yarn for the nose, and yarn of your choice for the scarf or oth­er hol­i­day décor. Use a mm cro­chet hook and adjust the yarn weight accord­ing to your pref­er­ence.

Ears: F hook

Row 1: *Chain 5, sl st in the 2nd chain from the hook, sc in the next chain, hdc in the next chain, sc in the next, sl st in the next stitch, work on the oppo­site of the ear, sc in the next stitch on the oppo­site of the ear, hdc in the next stitch, sc in the next stitch, sl st in the last stitch on top of the ear. Fas­ten off.
Count over about 5 stitch­es, *Repeat for the oth­er ear.
Eyes: I hot glue gunned the eyes above the nose.
