Caron Soft Pur­ple yarn: I used 1 1/2 balls of yarn
Yarn nee­dle
Abbre­vi­a­tions:
ch=chain
sl st=slip stitch
sc=single cro­chet
dc=double cro­chet

Row 1. sc in the 2nd chain from the hook and each chain across. turn ‑10 sc
Row 2. ch 2 (counts as first dc)  in the first sc, *sc in the next sc, dc in the next sc, *Repeat across, turn ‑10 sts.
Row 3. sc in the first stitch, *dc in the next stitch, sc in the next sc, *Repeat across, turn ‑10 sts
Row 4. Repeat row 2, then row 3, and alter­nate between the two rows for your desired scarf length.
After you have your desired length, then sl st, (The length I used was 60 inch­es long)
Ruf­fles
Sc in each stitch around the edge of the scarf. sl st
Next Round, ch 2, (counts as first dc), work 3 dc in the first sc, *work 4 dc in the next sc, and each sc around the scarf for the ruf­fles.  *Repeat, sl st
Next Round, ch 2, work dc in each dc around the scarf. fas­ten off.
